KCSN is proud to welcome the newest member of our on-air family: the legendary Jed The Fish!
KCSN Program Director, Sky Daniels, exclaims, “Jed is a true icon in radio—NO air personality will ever match his 30+ year legacy at KROQ, most of it spent in prime time afternoon drive. It is an unheard of feat for a personality to remain so relevant in the Alternative format for 3 plus decades. Jed has done so because of his passion for music, his unique ability to communicate, and his sensitivity to artists and their art. Jed has long expressed a desire to create unique programming that melds Alternative with other genres of music in a unique blend—he has found the home to do so at KCSN.”
KCSN General Manager, Karen Kearns, adds, “Our Saturday line up is now complete. We have united a unique team of L.A. radio artists to curate your Saturday music.”
Jed will be hosting Saturdays from 1-3PM, which we are dubbing “Fresh Catch With Jed The Fish”.
KCSN adds several new well-known personalities to its Adult Alternative formatted station, including rock star Terri Nunn (of Berlin), Mark (Mr. Shovel) Sovel former Music Director of Indie 103.1, and renowned international tastemaker Sat Bisla. UNBOUND with Terri Nunn, Saturday 6-8pm, will provide the hot soundtrack to everybody's 'date night' along with interviews, live performances and Terri's take on music, relationships, and entertainment. Its rated "R" for rock..." City Of Night with Mr. Shovel, Saturday evenings, will be a show that captures the electricity and diversity of a Saturday night in Los Angeles. It brings an energy to KCSN by blending a unique mix of new music, rock’s true icons and emerging heroes of the local music scene. Passport Approved with Sat Bisla, Sunday 5-7pm, is a leader in musical discovery on an international basis. It is part of KCSN's initiative to develop artists on a local, national, and international platform."

“The plaque is inscribed, ‘To Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers—True Believers In The Magic Of Rock N’ Roll”, said Daniels. “We gave one to the band to be hung in “The Clubhouse”, the band’s recording studio, and one hangs in the KCSN air studio to remind our jocks that every time we open the mike, we must believe in that magic!”

LA Times
Listener-supported KCSN is here to fill a gap on the LA radio dial, where a lot of good music has been missing for a long time. We play songs by artists who pay attention to the craftsmanship of their music. We play music by contemporary artists such as Norah Jones, The Dave Matthews Band and John Mayer. We play music by classic artists such as Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and The Grateful Dead. And we play more than their hits. At KCSN, we play the music you want.
On weekdays, we offer a music mix designed to make your commute and your workday more enjoyable. Our weekend shows, hosted by KCSN volunteers, focus on specific music styles such as Americana, Folk, and Bluegrass. If you’re looking for our classical music service, you can now hear it on KCSN HD-2 and through our sister site KCSNClassical.org
KCSN is a work in progress. We’d love your feedback. You can also suggest a song for our playlist.
