Jim Nelson has done many things in a music career that started in 1978 with his first college radio airshift. Since then, Nelson has worked behind the scenes at KLOS, KTWV and the old KWST in Los Angeles, and on the air at KCAL-FM San Bernardino.
The onetime managing editor and Triple A editor at radio publication The Album Network and editor at Triplearadio.com has also worked as a technical director of syndicated radio show Rockline, and writer and producer of national shows PowerCuts and In The Studio. Additionally, Nelson spent two decades as a freelance music writer with bylines in Paste, Performing Songwriter, RIP and Request.
On the air Jim plays the KCSN Music Mix of rock & roll, folk, singer-songwriter, Americana, classic rock, blues and R&B. Jim loves baseball, music and American history, and when he’s not at KCSN he runs A Taste Of Triple A, a music marketing company that he launched in 2004.
