KCSN Program Director and Afternoon Classical Host Martin Perlich has been doing broadcast interviews since 1965 when he interviewed Leonard Bernstein. Since then he has gone on to literally "write the book” on interviewing. His “The Art of the Interview” is in its second edition from Empty Press. In keeping with his life-long orientation of “going from the heart”, Martin now does live interviews on his afternoon show only when he finds a guest of unusual merit, either as artists, or as creators of value for the Los Angeles/Valleys communities. His archival interviews include: Leonard Bernstein, Isaac Stern, George Szell, Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Witold Lutos³awski, Itzhak Perlman, Simon Rattle, Anne-Sophie Mutter, and many more. Interviews are broadcast 3 times every weekday 6:00AM, Noon, and 5:00PM
Interviews are broadcast live at 4:00 weekdays.
