Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (PT)

Ian Freebairn–Smith comes to us from a long and eclectic career in the world of music, from classical to popular, jazz, choral music, and new music. Weekday mornings Ian brings us the greatest classical music of the last 1,000 years, from Gregorian Chant and Hildegard von Bingen to Rimsky–Korsakov and Steve Reich, without inane commercial interruption. That’s four hours of complete immersion in the love of classical music.

And every weekday morning at 10 a.m., (Pacific) Ian features The Morning Masterpiece to get your day started wherever you may be listening.

Ian has extensive experience as a composer and conductor in film and TV, and is a Grammy Award–winning arranger. He continues his career as a composer, both in film and for the concert hall, and as a performer, singing with the Doc Severinson Big Band and working steadily in the motion picture industry as a session vocalist.
