Who Are We
KCSN, 88.5 FM is a member-supported, public radio station broadcasting live from the campus of California State University, Northridge. KCSN relies heavily on financial support from individual donors and business sponsors.
KCSN’s has a one-of-a-kind format on the LA radio dial. Music programming includes live in-studio sessions and interviews with well established and emerging artists. KCSN programming features the best independent records and progressive major releases. Monday-Friday KCSN plays music by a wide range of iconic rock and contemporary artists. KCSN is a leader in the LA radio market with its ability to recognize and support emerging artists while honoring heritage musicians.
Weekends are filled with outstanding radio programs hosted by a cast of radio veterans and celebrity personalities who share their musical expertise in various musical genres such as; Folk/Roots, Rock, Blues, Bluegrass, EDM and more. KCSN is the only station in the Los Angeles radio market that presents this type of programming and reaches such a diverse and dedicated audience.
