Kat Griffin has helped Southland radio listeners toast in the weekend with her long-running Friday night eclectic jazz program, Madly Cocktail. Her latest show on KCSN is Americana Matinee, where her playlist is a diverse mix from Neil Young and Bob Dylan to Leadbelly.

Kat is also focusing on the current music being released and charting on the National Americana Music Association chart. Each week you will hear new music from such artists as Sarah Borges, Hank III, Lucinda Williams, The Mickeys, The Refugees and Guy Davis.

Kat has been around public radio since 1989, including K-JAZZ and KCRW. She believes public radio is a vital tool for learning in university life and she is proud to be a part of CSUN’s commitment to keep KCSN a public service to the community.

If she hasn’t played your music...it might be that she doesn’t have it.
