MOLLY BARNES ART NEWS

Image of Host Molly Barnes

Monday evenings at 6:30 (PT)

What exactly is the current state of visual art in Los Angeles? Are you afraid to understand or to ask questions about the art that you see? Molly Barnes dares to break down the barriers of elitism on her weekly broadcast of Art News, every Monday evening at 6:30pm (PT) on KCSN FM.

Molly’s contributions to the arts are numerous. She has served as a gallery owner from 1967-84 and has hosted many pioneering radio and TV shows. She was nominated for an Emmy in 1985 and featured people such as Willem de Kooning, Hilton Kramer, Roy Lichtenstein, and Holly Solomon on several of her radio programs at various other southland radio stations.

Molly Barnes Art News promotes spirituality in the visual arts and makes the artists’ messages understandable to the listening public. In other words, what art means and how it can be helpful to the human spirit.

Bob Dylan Tribute Banner and Link

Before emerging as arguably the most important songwriter in rock history, the man born as Robert Zimmerman grew up in a small Minnesota town. Hearkening back to his earliest days, this exhibition–organized by Experience Music Project–chronicles Dylan’s transformation from Midwestern teen to folk troubadour, artistic innovator, and compelling voice of social conscience.

Featuring more than 160 artifacts, including Dylan’s handwritten drafts of classic songs, rare concert posters and a recording of his first concert, the exhibition focuses on the first decade of his celebrated career. Click here for more information
